Oh and I highly recommend the Gongoozlers Rest cafe at Braunston. You can't miss it as it's right on the towpath, literally, it's a boat!

I've walked most of it that goes through Northants and it is patchy at best. Some areas there are some lovely sections but other areas it's pretty much just a mud bath (especially after the summer we've had), unfortunately these are the longer sections.

Hi all, has anyone rode the Grand Union from Birmingham to London? if so, whats it like? any good camping spots? it the towpath sound or is it rough?
