April 2012 09:00 until 18:00 Surface: Mixed on/off road. MTB, 'cross bike, good hybrid or rough-stuff tourer needed. Start Point: Long Ashton Village Hall. Those wishing to miss out the initial, most boring third of the route can meet us in Filton later in the morning. Food stops: Open to suggestions, but currently proposing Filton Sainsburys, greasy spoon in Westerleigh, or Dyrham Park tea rooms (expensive) for lunch, and pub in Saltford for tea if they're serving food. Food / beer / cider afterwards at the Bird In Hand, Long Ashton: http://www.the-pumphouse.com/events/bird-in-hand-now-open/ Pace: It's 100km / 60 miles, intend to take all day about it, so not very fast. Date: 28th of April Approximate route: http://www.bikehike.co.uk/mapview.php?lnk=http%3A%2F%2Fdl.dropbox.com%2Fu%2F1279811%2FRoundBristolCut.gpx but with a better route approaching the Tyntesfield Estate if one of the local byways is waterlogged (as usual).
