Well mate I'm just getting over 6broken ribs a broken shoulder blade and partial collapsed lung been 6 weeks now and NO bike riding so take it easy and it will pay off in the long run . But you probably back riding now . Dave

+1 what Kit said As frustrating as it is, sometimes you just have to back off the cycling and let yourself heal Trakka Heal up soon ;)

I'd say there's a reason your doctor is your doctor and that's because s/he should know about medicine and healthcare. That being the case, taking it easy is probably the best option. You don't want to complicate the injury and end up keeping yourself off the bike for longer. That written, did you ask the doctor specifically about whether or not you should cycle? If you can, asking him/her directly about it would be good. Maybe s/he'll tell you to go ahead and cycle all you want.
