Anybody offering to teach basic bike maintenance in northern Ireland, Co Down/Belfast area? We don't have Evans here and I prefer face to face teaching to you tube

I have an extensive tool kit including workstand and wheel truing jig. I am happy to teach or supervise basic maintenance or repairs, or for those that have would rather leave repairs to someone else I can do that too. I am based in West Norfolk - but work in Mid Norfolk so can cover those areas easily. I am a cycle enthusiast, and want to encourage people to enjoy cycling safely - so I don't charge for my time or labour. I do ask people to pay a £3 fee to cover cost of purchase and wear/tear on my tools and cost of lubricants which I supply, and of course you pay for any parts required, and if I drive to you contribute for my diesel. On completion I ask people to make a small donation to the RNLI. Get in touch if you want to know more.

Evans cycles run courses in store which cover the basics of such things. So you could contact your local store to ask availability. I think it's £15 and you get some tools included for your payment ! Also if you get the July 2012 copy of Mountain Biking UK - magazine - it has a free DVD covering things - which is pretty simple to follow.
